Custom rolls / film on hand
Build cut plans around the widths you stock (and optionally what's left on each roll).
What it is
Custom rolls lets you enter the roll widths you have available so the plan is built around inventory -- not an idealized roll you don't own.
Why shops care
- Less over-ordering "just to be safe"
- Better pairing between windows and the widths you carry
- More predictable waste and fewer surprises
Optional lengths
If you track remaining length on a roll, enter it. This helps prioritize rolls with limited remaining film and avoids "breaking" a new roll when it isn't necessary.
Best practices
- Only enter roll widths you're actually willing to cut from for the job.
- Keep your inventory list realistic -- don't add a width you don't stock.
- If the plan suggests a split you don't like, adjust your roll list and re-run (within the same credit if inputs didn't change).
