These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to the Precision Film Systems public website, application and installed web app, generated documents, public estimate packets, support, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Precision Film Systems LLC ("Precision Film Systems", "we", "us"). By creating an account, purchasing access, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1) Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, protecting your credentials and devices, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
- You may not share, transfer, rent, sell, or resell an account or its cut plan balance.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase or subscribe.
2) Plans, purchases, trials, and Paddle
Solo and Shop are monthly subscriptions. Flex has no recurring base subscription and uses one-time cut plan packs. Precision Film Systems purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record for payment methods, applicable taxes, invoices, receipts, and related billing communications. Paddle's buyer terms may also apply.
- Solo and Shop renew monthly until canceled. Flex enrollment includes the one-time pack selected at checkout, and additional Flex packs do not renew automatically.
- If a trial, introductory price, discount, credit, or other offer is available, its eligibility, duration, price, renewal date, and cancellation deadline are the terms shown before you confirm checkout. Trials and acquisition offers may be limited to eligible new customers or eligible demo conversions and may not apply to plan changes.
- The app and Paddle checkout show when an upgrade, downgrade, reactivation, or switch to Flex takes effect. A switch from a paid subscription to Flex is normally scheduled for renewal.
- You may cancel a subscription to stop future renewals. Access normally continues through the paid billing period unless a refund, suspension, or other account action changes access.
- Refund request period: Customers should submit refund requests within 14 days of the transaction date using the link in their Paddle receipt or through Paddle support. Eligibility for a refund depends on Paddle's policy, local law, and the circumstances of the purchase.
- Refund requests are handled by Paddle under its refund process and applicable law. See Cancellation and Refunds.
- Prices, plan features, and limits may change prospectively with reasonable notice. A later change does not rewrite a completed order or remove rights required by law.
3) Cut plans, purchased packs, and fair use
- A cut plan is generally used when you generate a new optimized result from job measurements and planning inputs.
- Reopening, reviewing, printing, or exporting an unchanged saved result does not use another cut plan. Changing relevant inputs and generating a new result uses another cut plan.
- Solo's included cut plans reset each billing cycle and unused included plans do not roll over. Purchased packs are used according to the balance shown in your account.
- Included cut plans, purchased cut plans, and any promotional credits are subject to fair use, account eligibility, and any stated expiration. They have no cash value and may not be transferred, pooled between unrelated accounts, sold, resold, or redeemed outside the Service.
- Purchased cut plans do not renew automatically and remain valid for 12 months.
- Shop is presented as unlimited for normal shop use. Unlimited use is subject to reasonable fair-use, security, abuse-prevention, performance, and system-protection controls.
Precision Film Systems may apply rate limits, temporary safeguards, usage reviews, or other proportionate controls to protect customers and normal operation. You may not use Shop access as a resale service, shared credit pool, public optimization service, automated bulk-processing service, or substitute access for people or businesses that should have their own accounts. Precision Film Systems may correct usage records affected by verified duplicate delivery, fraud, abuse, or technical error.
4) Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of customer, job, project, measurement, scope, film, pricing, estimate, note, photo, file, and other content you submit ("User Content"). User Content also includes generated PDFs, cut plans, customer-facing estimate packets, public links, and related outputs created from your information.
You grant Precision Film Systems a limited right to host, encrypt or decrypt, reproduce, transform, optimize, render, store, back up, transmit, and share User Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. Reliability and product improvement may use aggregated or de-identified operational information.
You are responsible for having the rights, notices, permissions, and lawful basis needed to enter customer information, upload job photos or files, include people or property in those files, and send customer-facing documents or links. Avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
5) Estimates, public links, and customer responses
- You choose the estimate recipient, content, pricing, validity period, and sharing method and must review the exact revision before sending it.
- Anyone with an active public estimate link may be able to view its contents. You are responsible for protecting links and selecting an appropriate validity or expiration period before sharing them.
- You are responsible for prices, costs, taxes, discounts, deposits, warranties, customer notices, contract language, and the customer relationship.
- Precision Film Systems is the software provider, not a party to the agreement between you and your customer. An acceptance or decline recorded by the Service is not a guarantee that an agreement, signature, tax calculation, warranty, or user-authored term is legally sufficient or enforceable.
6) Verify planning, estimating, and job output
Precision Film Systems is a planning and estimating aid. Before ordering, cutting, quoting, invoicing, or installing, you are responsible for verifying measurements, quantities, orientation, roll widths, cut layouts, waste, linear footage, material availability, film selections, prices, costs, margins, discounts, taxes, deposits, warranties, customer-facing terms, and every printed or exported output.
The Service does not guarantee an installation outcome, savings, profitability, customer acceptance, tax correctness, code compliance, glass or film compatibility, manufacturer approval, or warranty coverage. It is not legal, tax, accounting, architectural, engineering, manufacturer, or safety advice. Use professional judgment and current manufacturer guidance.
7) Photos, files, and records
Upload only lawful, job-relevant content. Photos and files may contain people, property, access details, filenames, technical metadata, or other personal information. The Service may resize, convert, compress, validate, or otherwise process files as part of the feature. The Service is not your sole backup; retain source measurements, photos, contracts, and other records you need independently.
8) Browser and installed-app behavior
The Service is online-first and is not a guaranteed offline record system. The browser or installed web app may keep preferences, identifiers, recovery drafts, job state, estimate handoff information, and temporary photo data on the device. Clearing site data, using private browsing, changing devices or browsers, uninstalling the app, storage pressure, or an update can remove local recovery data. Cross-device edits may require you to review or recover a conflicting revision.
9) Third-party services
Paddle and user-invoked mapping, geocoding, imagery, navigation, email, hosting, and other third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Map, address, imagery, sun-direction, and navigation results may be incomplete, unavailable, old, or inaccurate and must not be used for safety-critical decisions. If optional integrations become available, they apply only when you choose to connect them.
10) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or enter, upload, or share information without required authority or notice.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harmful content, or use uploads or shared content to disrupt, compromise, or misuse the Service.
- Share credentials, impersonate another person, attempt cross-account access, expose another person's public link, or bypass account, plan, device, usage, or security controls.
- Sell or resell Service access, cut plans, purchased packs, or account capacity, or operate the Service primarily for the benefit of unauthorized third parties.
- Manipulate measurements, credits, billing, estimate decisions, signatures, or system evidence fraudulently.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, probe, overload, disrupt, or use automated requests in a way that unreasonably burdens the Service or other customers.
11) Support and administrative access
Authorized Precision Film Systems personnel may access limited account information, logs, support views, or audited administrative tools when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, support, export, suspend, restore, or delete an account. This access is restricted and is not intended to be routine browsing of customer content.
12) Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, UI, and underlying material planning methods, is owned by Precision Film Systems LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of any of our intellectual property.
If you submit ideas, suggestions, feedback, or feature requests, you agree that Precision Film Systems may use, adapt, or implement them without creating any ownership, license, equity, compensation, approval, or other rights in the Service, the app, or any related business for the person or company that submitted them.
13) Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available access, or that a saved or generated result will remain current after its inputs or the software changes.
Security is an ongoing process. Precision Film Systems uses reasonable safeguards and works to maintain and improve the Service, but cannot promise that the Service will be completely free from vulnerabilities, loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
14) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Precision Film Systems LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
15) Suspension, termination, and account data
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access for a material violation of these Terms, fraud, chargeback abuse, security risk, legal requirement, nonpayment, or conduct that threatens the Service or other users. Suspension or closure may make User Content and unused balances unavailable. Limited billing, security, fraud, dispute, tax, and legal records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy. Paddle's process, applicable law, and the circumstances of the account determine any refund treatment.
16) Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll provide reasonable notice (e.g., on the website or by email). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
