Getting started
A quick first run: windows → roll strategy → cut plan → diagrams.
1) Add your windows
- Enter width × height and quantity for each unique size.
- If you have repeats, increase quantity instead of adding duplicate rows.
- Use groups when the job needs organization (rooms, elevations, floors).
2) Pick a workflow
- Single-roll: You already know the roll width you're using.
- Multi-roll: You want to split the job across multiple widths to reduce waste or match inventory.
- Custom rolls / film on hand (Shop): Enter the roll widths you carry (and optional remaining lengths) and plan around what you already own.
3) Build your cut plan
- Click Optimize / Build your cut plan.
- This spends 1 credit for that job input, and unlocks all modes/results for the same inputs.
4) Review results
- Check Efficiency, Linear feet, and Waste.
- Open the Cut Diagram and Windows List so the person cutting film can follow the plan step-by-step.
5) Print or hand off
If you're training a new installer, the diagram + window list is the fastest way to get consistent cuts without guesswork.
