Modes

Single vs multi and how to pick the right strategy for the job.

Single-roll mode

  • Best when you know the roll width you're using (or the job is small).
  • Fast results. Easy for training and consistent shop workflow.

Multi-roll mode

  • Best when you want to reduce waste by splitting work across multiple widths.
  • Useful when your shop carries multiple common widths and you want the plan to reflect that.

Custom rolls / film on hand (Shop)

  • Enter the roll widths you actually stock.
  • Optionally enter remaining lengths so the plan can prioritize what's left.
  • This is the most "real shop" workflow: it helps prevent over-ordering and keeps waste predictable.

Rule of thumb

If you're cutting from inventory, use custom rolls. If you're ordering for the job, use the roll strategy that matches how you'll actually buy and cut.
