Window film planning software for flat glass
Most "window tint software" is focused on scheduling, invoicing, or general estimating. Precision Film Systems™ is different: it's a focused tool for building a cut plan and optimizing window film rolls so your shop uses less material and wastes less time.
It's built for flat glass installs -- homes, storefronts, offices, schools, and commercial projects -- where planning cuts and roll usage matters. You enter window dimensions, choose your roll strategy, and get a plan you can follow at the cutting table.
Think of it as a window tint roll calculator that also gives you the visual cut layout. Instead of rough math, you get a plan with roll usage, cut order, and totals your shop can repeat consistently.
Plan multi-window homes and stage the right rolls before you arrive.
Standardize cuts and reduce rework across crews and larger jobs.
Automotive tint shops that also do flat glass can use the same planning flow.
A Simple, Repeatable Planning Process
Input dimension and orientation quickly and accurately.
Choose rolls from Single, Multi, or Custom mode.
Automatically create optimized layouts that minimize waste
Print or reference plans knowing material usage is accurate.
Designed to improve efficiency across your shop
Know exactly how much film a job will use before cutting. Avoid over-ordering, unnecessary roll changes, and costly mistakes.
Spend less time sketching, recalculating and second-guessing. Generate clean, repeatable plans in minutes.
Standardized cut plans mean fewer questions, fewer errors and more predictable installs -- regardless of who's on the job.
Accurate material planning supports better quoting, fewer surprises and improved job profitability.

Why Shops Use Precision Film Systems™
Built for Shops That Care About Accuracy
Precision Film Systems™ was created by installers, for installers to solve common problems faced by architectural window film jobs -- wasted material, inconsistent planning, and inefficient preparation.
This is not generic estimating software. It's a practical planning tool built around how professional installers actually measure, cut and install film.
Built for professional window film shops and installers to make planning predictable, fast and easy.
Enter the roll widths you carry (and optional remaining lengths) and build plans around what you already own. This is one of the fastest ways to reduce waste on real jobs: pair windows to the right rolls, avoid over-ordering, and keep roll usage predictable.
Instead of "one roll fits everything," you can plan around your actual inventory -- common widths like 36, 48, 60, 72 and custom sizes too.
Roadmap
We're adding features that support the install workflow -- not random extras.
Simple quoting that stays tied to real cut planning (no guessing later).
Job tracking and printable packets built around how shops run installs.
Better standardization so cuts stay predictable across the crew.
FAQ
Quick answers to common questions about window film planning and cut optimization.
Is this tool for architectural window film only?
It's built for flat glass installs (residential and commercial). If you're mainly automotive but do flat glass jobs too, this is still useful for planning cuts and footage.
What's the difference between this and window tint estimating software?
Estimating tools focus on pricing and invoices. Precision Film Systems™ focuses on the cut plan: roll usage, linear feet, waste, and a visual layout installers can follow.
I already have partial rolls in stock. Can I use those to build a cut plan?
Absolutely! With the Shop plan you can add one or more rolls (or remnants) you have left over from previous jobs so Precision Film Systems™ can build a plan around what you already have.
Just choose Custom mode and enter your roll/remnant sizes. If you exhaust your on-hand remnants, the system will give you metrics on standard roll widths so you can choose what you need to order to complete the job.
Will the app tell me how many rolls of film I need for the job?
The app will give you total linear feet needed for the roll size you select. You can use that number to order a partial roll (if your film manufacturer allows it) or multiple rolls if needed.
You'll have all the information you need to know -- without doubt -- how much film you need to order for the job.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The app runs in your browser and works on desktop and mobile.
However, the app is also a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it on your mobile device if you choose. This gives you quick access and removes browser chrome so it functions like a native app.
